After an eternity of debate, the state of Indiana appears poised to join 47 other states in observing Daylight Savings Time. This will leave only parts of Arizona and all of Hawaii as the party poopers.
Actually, I'm glad we don't participate in DST, because it's not like days get noticably longer or shorter down here. It does make for some headaches when adapting for doing business with the mainland, though. Already badly scheduled webcasts begin at 5 a.m. instead of 6 a.m., for example.
There are more fights ahead for folks in Indiana (Eastern or Central?). And of course the whole country could find DST creeping across more of the calendar.
