So Help Me
Now that the Spike cable channel ("The Network for Men") is airing blocks of CMT, Jen has been watching a lot of country music videos. (Check out her segment on the July 22 podcast.) Which means, of course, that I've been watching, too.
Much to my dismay, I found I actually liked some of the stuff. Okay, very, very little of the stuff, but still, more than none of the stuff.
I've even been hovering around this album by a group called Nickel Creek, if only because the video carries shades of Smashing Pumpkins and Live and Nine Inch Nails and... well, other creepy acts.
Just when I was beginning to wonder if CMT exposure was causing some kind of brain damage, I discovered that the Nickel Creek album is actually the third most popular disc on Amazon.com. Not just in country, but across all music genres.
So that settle's it. There's definitely brain damage.
